New home - new sewing room

So, those of you that know me well will know that I’ve lived in Moseley (Birmingham) for 11 years and this is where Birdieblue started.  You will probably also know that I’ve sewn in various rooms of various houses and most recently the bottom of my bedroom!  This didn’t work out as well as I would have liked, purely because I could leave all my bits and pieces lying around! Partly because it was impractical and partly because it was a total mess!

Anyhow, the time has come for Bramble (my hamster and frankly, my boss) and I to move, and the time has come to leave Moseley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moseley) - which I am going to miss immensely!  So now we are installed in Selly Oak and the most amazing news is I HAVE A SEWING ROOM!

I’ve painted it a lovely colour (with the help of my fantastic other half James) and it is now filled with sewing goodness and crafty items made by me and many others.  Birdieblue has been a little bit quiet over the past 6 months or so but my enthusiasm has returned and this summer the sewing room is going to get used quite a lot! Mega excitement!

Anyway………….a few piccies - enjoy!

The grand entrance………..

Pretty Lighting………..

Sewing bits and pieces………plus a few gifts made by friends etc….

Newly installed artwork…….I’ve waited 12 months to put this up!!
